The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers can be ideal for those who are looking to get rid of mopping off their list of things to do. Some of them have excellent mapping capabilities and obstacles avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads themselves to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than the other options which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery halfway through an efficient.

It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor makes short work of picking up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, though not by much. The mop rotates quickly and utilizes 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into difficult corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've used. It doesn't make the same amount of noise while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and is effective however, this is something that you'll need to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a wide range of features.

The device has a powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map your home and identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean effectively and efficiently. This ensures an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively fast.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach a wide range of surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach spots. The side brush can be stretched to extend to the floor, close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to reduce odors and prevent buildup.

Another feature worth mentioning is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the amount of suction and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more random patterns. You can also adjust the number of passes it will make, which will affect the speed at which the device can move around your home. You can also decide to disable the side brush to avoid damaging rugs and carpets.

The device has a expensive price tag, but it has a variety of advanced features. It's crucial to remember that it carries recurring expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.

The robot vacuum that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and includes a broad variety of physical automation features. It has the power button that serves as a general "Clean button as well as a Home' button that will send it back to its base station after completing the cleaning process. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank, and wash and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal option for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home neat without spending too much time doing chores. It is a powerful machine with smart navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two components, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping unit that includes microfiber pads. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because that you don't need to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature was its accurate floorplan map which it uses to create the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which help to shield specific areas of your home from being scrubbed with mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up pet hair. It was able capture many of the hair sheds from our cats. It even got into some of the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was quiet and even had some pleasant jingles that let you know when it was starting or finishing its work.

Its biggest drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the necessity to swap out the modules when switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app can't store multiple maps, which can be a pain if you have a home with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, but it comes with some unique features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its massive dock which doubles as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink as well as a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start a cleaning job or recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to turn off the child lock that is a great option for parents concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise at finding objects.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck if it gets entangled in an obstacle like a power cable draped over a rug. It won't work until you remove it manually. This is a rare event however it was frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert on its app.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that mopping pads don't get washed or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern base and mopping pad.  best robot cleaner 's a big contrast to the basic black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for the market that is dominated by boxy models.
